2008年、エイゴンチャレンジカップで優勝した鈴木明子選手は 急遽エキシビションであるプログラムを滑ることになりました。 このときのエピソードをサイトで拝見して、 どんなものだったのかとても気になっていましたが 最近になって見た映像は、思っていた以上にすばらしいものでした。 Akiko Suzuki won a gold at 2008 International "AEGON" Challenge Cup in Netherlands. And she was going to perform the exhibition program, which hadn't been scheduled. - That I read there, this episode interested me so much, and this program, I have watched it at last, that inspired me much more, than the one I expected.
ピアノの調べに乗って、一輪の花を持って登場した鈴木選手は 私が見慣れた情熱的な感じとは違ってとても可憐な雰囲気。 それが滑っていくに連れて美しさが増し、穏やかなのに 一種近寄りがたいような迫力すら感じました。 感じたまま動いてこんなふうになるってすごいな。 Skating on the piano notes, she came on the ice with a rose in her hand. She was in so fine tone, unlike in vibrant tone to which I'm used. The tone worn more beauty as it went on. She felt like gentle, but I felt her majesty. She figured the music with her own touch - indeed, that magnetized me.
滑る前に彼女の過去についても少し語られたそうです。 このピアノ曲で滑ることになった不思議な巡り合わせについても 説明があったかもしれません。 うがった見方をすれば、そんな状況ならば 大概の人が感動するのは当然ともいえます。 けれど彼女の演技を見て、私はシンプルに、かつ強烈に胸を打たれました。 演技を終えた時、そして花束を持ってリンクからあがる彼女を 大勢の人が立ち上がって拍手と歓声で迎えていました。 やはり彼女はスケートでお客さんの心を動かしたのだと思います。 Before she performed, she was given some introductions. The crowds might know her destiny, the reason why she performed that piano song. So you could have been moved, if you were there. - that sounds heartless,though. But, simply, so badly, I was moved by her performance. When she finished, she received a flower bouquet and a lot claps and cheers. So sweet standing ovation bid farewell to her. I know, it moved them, that nothing but her performance.
